I appreciate the opportunity to be a candidate for this year’s Board of Directors. In the spirit of the upcoming Annual Conference, I will focus on how I would utilize my board membership to facilitate collaboration, innovation and achievement.
We collaborate because CSMFO is about building relationships with other professionals in local government. In the spirit of collaboration, I want to focus on casting our net of participation wider. One of our underserved populations is college students. I would like to use my time on the board to help develop a more formal program for promoting CSMFO to the college community and recruiting college students to become active members.
CSMFO continues to be relevant to its members because it constantly innovates. CSMFO has promoted innovation in local government for many years with its Innovation Award Program. As a board member, I want to continue to sponsor programs that promote innovation.
CSMFO can achieve these goals to collaborate and innovate when the Board of Directors provide the tools for success. I want to join the Board of Directors to continue providing these tools for achievement. Please vote so CSMFO can continue to be the preeminent resource for promoting excellence in government finance.
